Fairy Puppet
Fairy Dust, Treasure Stones, Party Favors, Princess

Step 1        Fold the cardstock in half.

Step 2        Draw a wing shape on it.

Step 3        Keep the paper folded and cut out the shape.  Open out the wings and flatten them.

Step 4  .     From the bright paper, cut a shape for the fairy’s body and arms.  I drew a dress shape from patterned paper.

Step 5        Cut a paper circle for the head and a shape for the hair.  I used the head as a guide to get the correct size and
style of the hair so it would fit the head. If you used pale paper, you can color the hair with the pencils or crayons.

Step 6        Glue the hair onto the head and draw a face.

Step 7        Cut out hands from the same paper as the head and glue them onto the back of the fairy’s arms.

Step 7        And glue the head onto the body.

Step 8        Glue the body onto the wings, then decorate the fairy with glitter, stickers or sequins.

Step 9        Tape the straw onto the back of the body.

Step 10        Give your fairy puppet a name and have a show!

I got this craft from an Usborne Book called Fairy Things to Make and
Do.  My five year old and I made the puppets together.  We were really
excited to do all of the crafts, but they were a bit too detailed for her age.

I would recommend this should be for 8 and older unless you are
willing to cut out ALL of the pieces ahead of time.
