Things you will need:
Scissors Bendy drinking straws Bright or patterern paper (I’ve used “Salt Paper” I made earlier, but you can also use “Splattered Paper) Beads Ribbon glue |
| Fairy Craft - Fairy Butterflies |
Step 1 Fold the paper in half and glue it together with the paint on the outside. Fold the paper in half again. Draw two butterfly wings on it, then cut around the wings, cutting through all the layers of paper. Step 2 Cut the end off a drinking straw just above the bumpy part, one for each butterfly you are planning to make. Step 3: Cut down into the bumpy part to make feelers and bend outwards Step 4 Open the wings, lay the straw in the center (fold), then snip off the bottom end of the straw. Step 5 Push a piece of ribbon though a bead. Tie a knot in the ribbon and push it though the straw. Step 6 Glue the straw onto the wings. |
